We welcome children to start training as early as age 4. We have two groups of youth classes, and they are separated by age. Our youngest students attend the 4PM class which is 4-7 year olds, while the 5PM class is 8-12 year olds. These classes are held every Mon / Wed / Fri.
We are also starting a 13 - 16 year old program in the fall of 2023!
Students aged 16 and up are welcome to join the adult program.

For the most part, no. We do ask that those with no experience in BJJ to start with one of the Fundamentals classes. These are designed to introduce newer practitioners to the basics that they will need throughout their BJJ careers.

That is entirely up to you! We welcome parents to stay and watch the class, or drop their children off and return at the end of class. Some parents prefer to stay, others prefer to drop off and pick up.

Gi Classes: We provide a free Gi to borrow for your first class. We recommend wearing a rash guard underneath your Gi. A mouthguard is recommended, but not required.
No Gi Classes: A rash guard and shorts or spats are recommended. Some prefer to swear spats under their shorts to reduce mat burn. A mouth guard is recommended, but not required.
Muay Thai: We recommend having your own pair of gloves (16 oz) and shin guards. Mouth guards are required.
Combat Jiu Jitsu / MMA: We recommend brining your own gloves (4-6 oz). Mouth guards are required.

Our academy is located on the corner of 8th St and Monroe St. We are on the west side of Hoboken, directly across the street from the 9th street Light Rail Station.

We always do our best to follow up with potential members within 24 hours after the trial class.
We have a variety of price points to accommodate different budgets and schedules.

Yes! However, access depends on whether there is a coach at the Academy. If you want to lift at a time when classes are not scheduled, please ask ahead of time to see if someone might be around.

We sure do! We have separate lockers for men and women, both equipped with showers. You just need to bring your own towel and soap.

While we love it when our members support us by wearing our swag, it is not required.

After every single class! Even if you do not think it needs it, your Gi should be fresh and clean.
Dirty Gis increase the chances of spreading skin infections, so please wash your Gi after each and every class to keep you and your fellow students healthy!
